A strict definition of building maintenance would maintenance work that is accomplished on a regular basis to guarantee a building or property is kept in good working condition 24/7. For large buildings, this is a vital part of building management and can make a significant difference to not only the life of the building or parts of it, but also to the working/living environment for tenants and employees.
Building maintenance services are split into two different types, Planned and Reactive. At Poylteck, we offer both.
Planned Building Maintenance ServicesÂ
Providing routine property maintenance tasks such as completing building inspections on a monthly basis, identifying areas of concern and fixing them before they become a problem. Also included is when an engineer is called to the building, they may proactively check other areas whilst on the site.
The Planned Maintenance Process
Planned maintenance involves Polyteck co-ordinating directly with your on-site manager or project manager, whether it is a public building, office property or school etc.
This co-ordination allows for dates and times to be assigned for inspections. Polyteck’s expert building maintenance consultants can complete the building inspection together with your building manager and will identify areas that might be of concern or need further inspection. We will also organise any follow-on work or support which will be scheduled at a later date.
This allows to the client to see how planned maintenance can stop most problems from occurring. This will be produced in to a monthly report highlighting cost savings.
Reactive Building Maintenance Services
Completing handyman tasks such as changing light bulbs once they have blown, plumbing issues and electrical inspections and installations. Reactive building maintenance can be a very complex process and a very busy office or building may require a bespoke reactive maintenance service to insure the building is kept to the highest standards..
As a highly professional property and building maintenance company, we pride ourself on our commitment to customer service. We focus on clear communication and work with our clients to ensure the highest standards of building maintenance is achieved.
The Reactive Maintenance Process
The reactive building maintenance begins when we’re called out to your property. We will liaise with the client to understand the problem and then dispatch a team of expert engineers to fix any problems.
Planned and Reactive Building Maintenance offer slightly different services but can provide office managers with a peace of mind that if any issues do arise, we will be able to support you and resolve them as quickly as possible.
