Polyteck awarded Achilles UVDB accreditation
Polyteck Group, a leading construction and facilities management firm, has been awarded an Achilles accreditation – making it one of a few approved companies able to offer electrical and safety systems services to the utilities sector.
The company, which was assessed as part of a rigorous auditing process, scored 100% across the management and environmental procedures, health and safety, HR, and CSR categories.
Polyteck is now listed on the Achilles Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) which means it has fulfilled the majority of standard prequalification criteria, allowing them to tender for contracts supporting the UK utility industry.
The Achilles accreditation recognises a company’s standards, internal processes and practice.
Membership of the Achilles UVDB marks Polyteck out as a business that is able to manage supply chain risk and comply with EU regulations when procuring goods for utilities projects.
Polyteck operates across both the public and private sectors, delivering a broad range of construction and FM services including property development and refurbishment, property maintenance, electrical services, life-safety systems and HVAC services.
Sven Stoyanov, operations director at Polyteck, said: “This was an extremely important audit for Polyteck. Our team is very pleased with the audit results and we are now able to qualify in tendering for contracts for any UK based utility company.
“Achilles provides trusted independent supplier verification and helps to raise industry standards, which is exactly what our clients are looking for.
“The accreditation gives us a competitive advantage and supports us as we strive for continuous improvement.”
John Polycarpou, chairman, Polyteck, added: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved this accreditation. It is testament to the work of team over the last months and the investment we have made in the foundations of our business.”
